The Making of Sweet Slade’s: A New Chapter in a Historic Pinetop Landmark
If you’ve been to Pinetop, Arizona, you’ve probably driven past the charming building that now houses Sweet Slade’s—our vintage-inspired ice cream parlor, axe-throwing venue, and family fun spot nestled in the heart of the White Mountains.
A Building With History
This beautiful structure has been a part of the Pinetop-Lakeside community since the 1950s, originally built as a grocery store and later serving many different purposes throughout the years. In early 2024, we began construction to bring a brand-new vision to life—one that would honor the past while creating something truly unique for the present.
Our goal? To restore and beautify this historic building and turn it into a space where locals and visitors alike can enjoy delicious handmade ice cream, family-friendly entertainment, and a nostalgic small-town atmosphere.
Built With Love (and a Lot of Elbow Grease)
We’re beyond proud of the transformation, and we owe a huge thank-you to Big League Builders and the amazing crew who helped bring our dream to life. From vintage decor to custom signage, every inch of Sweet Slade’s was designed to make you smile the moment you walk through the door.
This project was about more than just a makeover—it was about creating a destination where families, friends, and couples could gather, laugh, and make memories right here in Pinetop.
Whether you’re enjoying a sunny day in the White Mountains or planning your next family adventure in Pinetop-Lakeside, we invite you to swing by Sweet Slade’s. Grab a scoop (or two), try your hand at axe throwing, and experience a little piece of history—reimagined with love.
